1.5-Weeks Travel Route Paraguay

It borders Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil and is more extensive than we might think. Besides that, it is simply an attractive travel destination. However, there is so much more to explore, especially in the northern regions. That is going to be covered next time!

There was no reason for a revolution in Paraguay. ~ Alfredo Stroessner

Even though we only crossed through a few cities in Paraguay, we explored a wide variety of living styles, nature, and even food habits. So follow the travel route, and maybe a bit smarter than us, bring more time and stop in the smaller cities in between.

Asunción

Length of stay: 4 days

Get used to the local life, explore the markets and the street food.

Encarnacion

~3 days

Yes, there is a beach! Go swimming, get a tan, and go party at one of the clubs and bars here.

Trinidad

~1 day

Are you interested in some historical facts? See the old Jesuit ruins and bring a cap to be protected from the sun.

Ciudad del Este

~3 days

Right to the border of Brazil, you are surrounded by busy city life, and you are very close to one of the world's largest hydropower plants - the Itaipu dam.
